The empty space between the Barrack Block and Victoria Prison used to be occupied by 2 to 3 small structures, including the coolie’s quarters and kitchen. In the 1930s, an Ablutions Block was built at the place, which served as the bathroom, lounge and fitness room for the policemen; it also housed a barber room. Facing the side of the Barrack Block are verandas supported by iron poles. Each floor is connected by a bridge to the Barrack Block; there are also passageways leading to the Victoria Prison.
